Job summary
BMT invites a Senior Business Development Manager – Submarines to lead growth across its UK submarines portfolio, working within the Future Business team. You will shape opportunities across the submarine lifecycle, engaging with MOD, Navy Command, and industry partners to build a high-quality pipeline.
You will identify, qualify and shape strategic growth opportunities, lead capture efforts, and develop compelling propositions, contributing to long-term sustainable success in a highly regulated
Qualifications
- Accomplished business development professional with deep knowledge of the UK submarine sector
- Strong understanding of the defence, nuclear and maritime landscape
- Established relationships across government, MOD, Navy Command, Defence Nuclear Enterprise and industry partners
- Experience in matrix organisations and leading opportunity capture activities
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Responsibilities
- Lead growth across BMT's UK submarines portfolio within the Future Business team
- Shape and secure strategic opportunities across the full submarine lifecycle
- Identify, qualify and develop a high-quality pipeline for short-term orders and long-term growth
- Lead capture activities, develop compelling customer propositions and influence investment decisions
- Collaborate across technical, programme, commercial and capability teams to win bids
