Job summary

BMT is seeking a Senior Complex Systems Engineer to deliver high-quality engineering support for submarine combat systems. You will operate within a specialist team, collaborating across projects and customer delivery lifecycles to ensure milestones are met and technical excellence is achieved.

The role offers flexible and hybrid working arrangements across UK offices, with opportunities to influence defence sector capabilities and consultancy expansion.

Qualifications

• Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or working toward with 18 months to achieve.
• Level 5 or higher Engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience in defence, naval or underwater systems engineering.
• Basic knowledge of MOD/SDA stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality engineering support across submarine combat systems and underwater complex systems.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and project managers to shape delivery approaches and plans.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and communicate with stakeholders at all stages of delivery.
• Contribute to expanding consultancy services into emerging non-defence underwater domains.
