Job summary

Raytheon UK is seeking a Principal Subcontracts Specialist for sites in Gloucester or Manchester. The role drives execution and innovative commercial solutions across Cyber, Intelligence, Space and ISR programmes, reporting to the Senior Manager, Contracts & Subcontracts.

You will influence mission‑critical outcomes by collaborating with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders, managing suppliers, and applying advanced subcontracting practices to mitigate risks and unlock opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven track record negotiating commercial and subcontract agreements in Defence or Cyber sectors.
• Degree in business or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong communicator with a proactive, adaptable mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage Subcontractors / Suppliers with moderately sized contracts with autonomy and accountability for delivery.
• Identify and engage early with subcontractors to support new business pursuits and provide risk analysis.
• Develop supplier Statements of Work (SOW).
• Negotiate contracts, NDAs, and terms and conditions.
• Communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders to align policies and processes.
• Manage costs, quality, schedule, and performance requirements for subcontractors and product families.
• Foster collaborative relationships and strategic partnerships to deliver value.
• Apply advanced subcontracting knowledge to mitigate risks and solve cross‑functional challenges.
