Senior Sub Agent – Water Infrastructure Lead (AMP8)

Job summary

Randstad CPE seeks an experienced Sub Agent to join a principal contractor delivering a major capital upgrade at a Water Treatment Works in Chichester. You will lead on-site civil packages, supervise engineers and subcontractors, and drive lookahead planning to meet project milestones.

The role requires water sector background, deep drainage and RC structures knowledge, and qualifications (CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid, EUSR). Immediate start on a long-term AMP8 framework contract.

Qualifications

• Water sector experience delivering heavy civils or infrastructure on UK water facilities (WTW / WwTW).
• Practical knowledge of deep drainage, RC structures, earthworks, pipework systems, and temporary works management.
• Degree, HND, or HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• Valid CSCS Card (Management / Black or Gold).
• SMSTS and First Aid at Work.
• EUSR National Water Hygiene Card.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily civil engineering delivery on site, directing site engineers, foremen, and subcontractors.
• Produce 3-to-6 week lookahead schedules and manage resources.
• Coordinate technical queries and temporary works between design leads and site teams.
• Implement and monitor Inspection and Test Plans, log site diaries, and close out non-conformances.
• Review RAMS, issue Permits to Dig/Work, and maintain zero-harm safety standards.
