Job summary

Fulcrum Recruitment Limited is seeking a Sub Agent to join a leading national civil engineering contractor on marine, structural and heavy civil projects across the UK. The initial Liverpool-area project is a permanent, full-time role with long-term opportunities nationwide.

The role suits an experienced Sub Agent or Senior Site Engineer ready to progress, with strong supervision, NEC knowledge and a proactive approach to safety, quality and programme delivery.

Qualifications

• Five years' civil engineering experience with strong site supervisory capabilities.
• Experience delivering heavy civils, reinforced concrete, piling, marine projects.
• Setting out, construction methodologies and QA knowledge.
• Understanding of NEC contracts and subcontractor coordination.
• SMSTS qualification and CSCS card (Gold) and driving license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate sections of work with Site Agent to meet programme and quality.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers.
• Oversee setting out, surveying, drawings, and technical queries.
• Chair site coordination and client progress meetings.
• Lead safety, RAMS, toolbox talks, and site inductions.
• Support commercial reporting and subcontractor management.
