Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking an experienced Sub Agent to support the delivery of highways, utilities and civil engineering works on a flagship HS2 package in North West London. You will take ownership of sections of work, managing programme, quality and commercial performance on site.

The role involves leading engineers, supervisors and subcontractors, ensuring safe delivery on programme and within budget, and driving short-term planning, progress reporting and NEC contract administration.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Sub Agent on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in highways, utilities, drainage, structures or heavy civils.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams.
• Good understanding of NEC contracts.
• Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Previous Tier 1 contractor or major project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of highways, utilities and civil engineering works from start to completion.
• Lead engineers, supervisors and subcontractors on site.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
• Drive short-term planning and programme management activities.
• Manage subcontractor performance and site coordination.
• Produce progress reports, forecasts and project updates.
• Support commercial management, change control and NEC contract administration.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality requirements and HSEQ standards.
