Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Character Concept Artist to design stylized game characters for remote, long-term collaboration from the UK. You will shape personalities, silhouettes, costumes, and color palettes, ensuring production-ready concepts.

You'll work with Art Directors, 3D artists, and Animators to translate concepts into game-ready assets while maintaining a cohesive visual language across the roster.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional experience as a Character Concept Artist or in a related game development role.
• A portfolio demonstrating stylized character design, distinctive personalities and strong visual storytelling.
• Excellent understanding of anatomy, silhouette language, color theory and costume design.
• Proficiency in Photoshop or Procreate or equivalent software.
• Ability to collaborate with Art Directors and multidisciplinary production teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead visual exploration and development of stylized characters for production.
• Translate artistic direction into clear concepts for storytelling, animation, and gameplay.
• Create thumbnails, sketches, variations, expression sheets, and detailed concepts.
• Prepare production-ready turnarounds and callouts for 3D character artists.
• Collaborate with 3D artists and Animators to ensure concepts translate to assets.
• Maintain a cohesive visual language across character rosters and guidelines.
