Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Revit Technician to join a supportive team in Birmingham, focusing on energy sector projects. The role leads production of Revit models and CAD drawings across design stages and requires strong coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

You will use BIM360 and cloud-based workflows, apply ISO 19650 standards, and develop the drafting elements for projects of varying size and complexity while maintaining high quality and on-time

Qualifications

• HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Energy Structures experience as a Technician.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with ISO 19650, BIM templates and BEPs.
• Experience with BIM360 and collaborative information management software.

Revit Technician (Energy Sector)

Working on a variety of interesting projects in the Energy sector.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Revit Technician to join a supportive and friendly team, help develop and lead a team in production of Revit models and CAD drawings for all stages of design.

Responsibilities

• Produce and supervise coordinated 3D BIM models using Revit; preparing engineering models & drawings from sketches and design information
• Work closely with key external stakeholders, clients and colleagues from all parts of the WSP business to achieve multidisciplinary delivery outcomes
• Use BIM technologies both in cloud and managed systems to prepare concise engineering drawings for key stages such as conception, planning, tender, building warrant and construction
• Fulfil Project Technician role – manage the drafting aspects of projects of varying complexity and size, actively driving the collaboration.

Qualifications

• An HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Experience in Energy Structures as a Technician
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
• Experience in the principles of ISO 19650, BIM templates, BEPs, and use of collaborative information management software
• Experience in working with digital platforms, particularly BIM360 and its collaborative modules (Not essential, training will be provided)
• Strong, practical experience of using Revit in a similar building structures focused role.
• Proficiency at planning and organising workload
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Excellent presentation skills
• Familiarity with working under pressure and to tight deadlines
