Alexander Associates Limited is seeking a Senior Structural BIM Technician to own BIM delivery across diverse structural projects. You will lead model production, coordination, and quality assurance while mentoring junior team members and driving digital design excellence.

The role offers opportunities to shape BIM standards, workflows, and digital processes, with progression toward Principal or Lead BIM Technician roles.

Formación

• Experience as Structural BIM/Structural Technician in engineering consultancy
• Advanced skills in Revit; working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Understanding of BIM coordination and information management
• Knowledge of structural detailing for steel, concrete, masonry, timber
• Strong communication, organisation and mentoring abilities
• Relevant Civil/Structural Eng or Construction qualification (HNC/HND or equivalent)

Responsabilidades

Senior Structural BIM Technician

We're looking for an experienced Senior Structural BIM Technician to take ownership of BIM delivery across diverse structural projects. You'll lead model production, coordination, and quality assurance while mentoring junior team members and driving digital design excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain highquality structural BIM models using Revit from concept to construction.
• Produce coordinated drawings, sections, and details that accurately reflect design intent.
• Collaborate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless model integration.
• Review and check models for accuracy, buildability, and compliance with project standards.
• Lead clash detection and resolve coordination issues proactively.
• Support BIM Execution Plans, modelling standards, and digital workflows.
• Mentor junior technicians and promote consistent BIM practices.
• Contribute to the evolution of BIM standards, digital strategy, and technical processes.

Requirements

• Strong experience as a Structural BIM or Structural Technician within engineering consultancy.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit and solid working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Understanding of BIM coordination, information management, and digital project delivery.
• Excellent grasp of structural detailing across steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.
• Strong communication, organisation, and mentoring skills.
• Relevant qualification (HNC/HND, BTEC, or equivalent) in Civil/Structural Engineering or Construction.
