Job summary

Ramboll in Bristol is seeking an experienced Principal Structural Engineer to lead the design and delivery of major projects within our Industry & Infrastructure Facilities team. You will engage with clients, guide multidisciplinary teams, and shape technical solutions across rail, aviation, energy and data centre markets.

Qualifications

• Chartered with the IStructE, ICE or an international equivalent.
• Significant experience as a structural engineer with a track record delivering technically challenging projects.
• Strong technical competence across steel, concrete and/or timber.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and delivery of projects or significant elements.
• Develop and agree structural concepts, design philosophies and technical solutions.
• Apply advanced engineering judgement to complex problems.
• Take responsibility for technical quality of your work and others.
• Act as technical lead and adviser to clients, representing Ramboll at meetings.
• Inspire, coach engineers and technicians to develop capability within the Bristol team.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors and other disciplines for integrated solutions.
• Promote innovative and sustainable design approaches, including low-carbon solutions.
