The role focuses on leading design, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to sustainable engineering with opportunities to impact embodied carbon and asset efficiency.

Qualifications

• Chartered with the IStructE, ICE or an international equivalent.
• Experience as a structural engineer in a consultancy or similar environment.
• Strong experience of structural design in steel, concrete and/or timber.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the delivery of structural engineering design on projects suited to your experience.
• Develop structural concepts and design solutions across materials and building types.
• Apply engineering judgement to solve complex problems and develop practical, buildable solutions.
• Liaise with clients, architects, contractors and other design team members.
• Take ownership of your work and contribute to project and team outcomes.
• Support and develop less experienced engineers and technicians.
• Contribute to innovative and sustainable design solutions, including embodied carbon reduction.
