Job summary

E3 Recruitment is seeking a Structural Engineer in the Leeds area to join an established engineering team delivering diverse projects in water, chemical, and process industries. Salary up to £52,000 plus benefits, with free onsite parking and generous holiday entitlement.

The role requires at least 5 years of structural steel experience, proficiency in STAAD Pro, and knowledge of Eurocodes. You will design, analyse, and review structural work, with site visits and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in structural steel design.
• Proficiency in STAAD Pro; Tekla Structures is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis and connection design.
• Competent in manual (hand) calculations for steel structures.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyse steel structures, steel elements, and connections.
• Produce and review detailed engineering calculations (including hand calculations).
• Conduct site visits to assess existing structures, gather data, and provide engineering input.
• Collaborate with design, fabrication, and installation teams to ensure the project's success.
• Prepare technical structural reports, structural drawings, and specifications.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant codes (Eurocodes), standards, and regulations.
• Provide technical support during fabrication and site installation phases.
