Job summary

E3recruitment is seeking a Structural Engineer in Dewsbury to join an established engineering team delivering projects across water, chemical, and process industries. You will design and analyse steel structures, specify connections, and produce calculations and drawings.

The role involves site visits, collaboration with design, fabrication and installation teams, and ensuring compliance with Eurocodes and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in structural steel design.
• Proficiency in STAAD Pro Structural Software.
• Experience with Tekla Structures is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis and connection design; able to perform hand calculations.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyse steel structures, steel elements, and connections.
• Produce and review detailed engineering calculations (including hand calculations).
• Conduct site visits to assess existing structures, gather data.
• Collaborate with design, fabrication, and installation teams to ensure the project’s success.
• Prepare technical structural reports, structural drawings, and specifications.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant codes (Eurocodes), standards, and regulations.
• Provide technical support during fabrication and site installation phases.
