Job summary

United Infrastructure seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to join the OHL and Substation Structures team in delivering EPC projects. You will contribute to structural design for lattice towers, masts, poles and gantries, and support the assessment of existing structures for uprating and refurbishment.

The role requires a degree in structural engineering, 5+ years of relevant experience, and strong collaboration across disciplines. UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Essential degree in structural engineering and chartered status pursuit supported within UIPTD framework.
• Minimum 5 years structural engineering experience with slender, guyed or dynamically loaded structures.
• Ability to produce and check structural calculations and reports to a high standard.
• Good communication within a multi-discipline design team and a full UK driving licence.
• Experience with BS EN 1993 and foundations for overturning, uplift, and lateral loading.

Responsibilities

• OHL structural design and analysis of lattice towers, poles, and related structures.
• Produce and check calculations, reports, and drawings for OHL and substation works.
• Deliver project outputs within budget and programme across multi-discipline teams.
• Support design reviews with SSE, SPEN, NGED and National Grid clients.
• Mentor junior engineers and develop OHL-specific competency within the team.
