Ridge and Partners LLP in Leeds seeks a Principal Structural Engineer to lead projects, manage client relationships, and drive growth of the structural engineering team. This senior role combines technical leadership with business development across a diverse portfolio including residential, healthcare, and education sectors.

You will mentor junior engineers, oversee Eurocodes-based design, and ensure high quality results while maintaining project profitability and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary design teams and manage projects to time and budget.
• Chartered or near-chartered status with MIStructE or MICE preferred.
• Extensive experience with Eurocodes and structural design standards in the UK.
• Strong client relationship management and business development experience.

Responsabilités

• Act as a primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring strong, trusted relationships.
• Develop and maintain client accounts and pursue new business opportunities.
• Lead client engagement activities including bid preparation, proposals, and fee negotiations.
• Oversee design delivery, ensure quality, time, and cost targets are met.
