Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering/related field.
• Chartered status or working towards Chartered (CEng MIStructE or CEng MICE).
• Strong consultancy experience delivering structural design projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and drainage modelling tools.
• Solid understanding of UK design standards, Eurocodes and Building Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed structural designs, calculations and specifications across steel, concrete, masonry and timber.
• Develop structural solutions from concept through detailed design and construction.
• Coordinate with architects, civil engineers and contractors to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Review drawings and models for accuracy, buildability and compliance with standards.
• Attend design reviews and provide technical input throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support site inspections and resolve technical queries during construction.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of design processes.
