Job summary

Alexander Associates is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to lead design delivery on commercial, industrial and data-centre projects. You will drive feasibility studies, produce detailed civil designs and specifications, and mentor junior engineers while coordinating with internal teams and stakeholders.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, strong consultancy experience in civil design, and proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD, with knowledge of UK standards.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Strong consultancy experience in civil design is essential.
• Knowledge of UK standards and drainage modelling tools is required.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed civil designs, calculations and specifications.
• Design highways, drainage (SuDS, foul, surface water), earthworks and utilities.
• Prepare drawings, reports and planning documentation.
• Undertake feasibility studies and site appraisals.
• Coordinate with internal teams, authorities and stakeholders.
• Support construction‑stage queries and site visits.
• Mentor junior engineers and support technical development.
