Job summary

Calibre Search is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for the Thornaby office. You will lead structural projects from concept to completion, reviewing designs across steel, concrete, masonry and timber, and mentoring junior engineers.

Join a well-established UK consultancy with a strong pipeline and client partnerships. You will collaborate with architects and contractors, produce calculations, reports and drawings, and drive technical excellence across multi-disciplinary projects.

Qualifications

• Chartered Structural Engineer with UK consultancy experience.
• Experience leading structural projects from concept to delivery.
• Proficient with Tekla Structural Designer, TEDDS, Excel, AutoCAD and ideally Revit; able to produce technical reports and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural projects from concept through to completion.
• Review designs across steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber structures.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers across the Thornaby team.
• Produce and review calculations, reports, drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors and other engineering disciplines.
• Conduct structural surveys and provide clear technical advice to clients.
