Job summary

Bennett And Game Recruitment in Cambridge is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join a well-established civil and structural consultancy. You will design and deliver a varied portfolio of projects—from residential developments to university buildings—working from concept through to construction with a technical team.

The role offers hybrid working after probation, mentoring junior engineers, and opportunities for Chartership progression.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience designing steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry structures.
• Experience using Tekla Structural Designer (or equivalent structural analysis software).
• Comfortable attending site visits and client meetings.
• Keen to mentor junior engineers.
• Happy to work from the Cambridge office 3-4 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Design structural solutions from concept through construction.
• Collaborate with clients, architects and contractors.
• Support junior engineers within the team.
• Work on residential, university, commercial, industrial, and conservation projects.
• Contribute to projects valued at £10m+ across diverse sectors.
• Manage site visits and client meetings as needed.
