Job summary

pxFairport is recruiting a Senior Structural Engineer for our Sunderland office. You will design complex structures, produce analysis models and calculations, and prepare technical reports to assist project delivery.

The role includes peer reviews, client meetings and mentoring of junior staff. The ideal candidate has a Civil/Structural engineering degree (BEng minimum) and ideally Chartered status, with knowledge of bulk handling facilities and strong CAD/analysis software skills.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Civil/Structural engineering (minimum BEng).
• Chartered Engineer status (ICE or IStructE preferred).
• Knowledge of bulk material handling and conveyor systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex structures to the brief.
• Produce analysis models and foundation loads.
• Create calculations and structural reports to company standards.
• Attend design reviews and client meetings as required.
• Support junior team members and mentor where needed.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and ISO/COS processes.
