AWD online is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join a professional team delivering safe, efficient and compliant structural solutions across a varied project portfolio in Wombwell, South Yorkshire.

You will apply structural analysis, design calculations and industry software to develop buildable, cost-effective designs that meet project objectives and timelines. The role is full-time with a benefits package and 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Robust knowledge of structural mechanics and engineering principles.
• Excellent design calculation capability.
• Previous experience in a structural design role using industry software.

Responsibilities

• Client and Team Collaboration: Work with clients, colleagues and professionals from plans and specs.
• Design Development: Create structural design ideas using industry software.
• Structural Analysis: Apply loads and calculate stresses and load paths.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure projects meet guidelines and health and safety requirements.
• Tender Support: Prepare bids for tenders.
• Quality Standards: Maintain quality service per company standards.
• Professional Development: Keep up with knowledge through workshops and publications.
• Progress Reporting: Provide updates to clients and senior managers.
