Job summary

Conrad Consulting Ltd in Norwich is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead design delivery on a varied portfolio of building structures. You will take ownership from concept through to completion with autonomy within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• At least 5 years' UK consultancy experience in building structures.
• Experience producing structural calculations and designs across traditional construction materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of structural engineering projects from concept through to completion.
• Operate with a high degree of autonomy within a busy, collaborative practice.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and other design professionals to ensure project success.
• Support less experienced engineers and help manage project delivery.

Our client is an established and successful structural engineering consultancy with a growing workload and an exciting pipeline of projects. They are now looking to appoint a Senior Structural Engineer to join their Norwich team.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys taking ownership of projects and wants to play a key role within a busy, collaborative practice.

The successful candidate will be capable of working with a high degree of autonomy, delivering structural engineering projects from initial concept through to completion. The role will involve working across a varied portfolio, providing technically sound and commercially focused design solutions.

Candidates should hold a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and have at least 5 years' UK consultancy experience in building structures. Strong technical ability is essential, with experience producing structural calculations and designs across traditional construction materials.

You will have a creative and practical approach to engineering, a strong focus on project delivery and the confidence to liaise with clients, contractors and other design professionals. Experience managing projects and supporting less experienced engineers would also be advantageous.
