Job summary

Conrad-Consulting is seeking a Senior or Principal Structural Engineer to join the Norwich team. The role involves leading building structures projects with a strong client-facing focus and a high degree of autonomy.

Applicants should have a Civil or Structural Engineering degree and at least four years’ UK consultancy experience, with solid knowledge of traditional construction materials and the ability to produce robust structural calculations.

Senior / Principal Structural Engineer

We are working with a well-established and growing engineering consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Senior or Principal Structural Engineer to join its successful Norwich team.

With a strong and varied pipeline of projects, our client offers the opportunity to take a leading role in the design and delivery of building structures across a broad range of sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer who enjoys technical design, project leadership and building strong relationships with clients and project teams.

The successful candidate will be confident managing structural engineering projects from initial concept through to detailed design, construction and completion. You will work with a high degree of autonomy, oversee project delivery and provide technical guidance to colleagues where required.

Applicants should hold a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and have at least four years’ experience working on building structures projects within a UK engineering consultancy. Strong technical knowledge across the traditional construction materials is essential, together with the ability to produce accurate and well-presented structural calculations.

The role would suit a commercially aware and forward-thinking engineer with a creative approach to design, excellent communication skills and the confidence to represent the business when dealing with clients, architects and other members of the design team.
