Job summary

A leading structural engineering consultancy is on the lookout for a Director to enhance their already strong structural team. The ideal candidate will lead the design of various high-rise and low rise building structures, requiring expertise in steel, timber, concrete, and masonry, alongside excellent communication and management skills. This permanent role based in London offers salaries above market rate with an excellent benefits package.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified from a reputable University.
• Achieved Chartership or within 12 months of achieving it.
• Minimum of 4 years consultancy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage structural engineering projects.
• Ensure high standard of service delivery within deadlines.
• Liaise with all parties involved in the design process.

Due to various projects coming back on line and a number of new project wins this medium sized structural engineering practice in South London requires 2 senior structural design engineers.

This firm is renowned for only taking on the best structural engineers in the market and therefore are working on some of the top projects the market has to offer. They work on various high-rise and low rise building structures incorporating steel, timber, concrete and masonry and typically work on projects from £1 million up to £100 million.

They are currently looking to bolster and already strong team with a two new appointments, both within the structural team.Due to the high calibre nature of their employment, candidates must be degree qualified from a reputable University, have achieved Chartership or be within 12 month of achieving this.

Criteria:

• The ability to design in steel, timber, concrete and masonry
• Liaise with all parties in the design process
• Must be able to plan, manage and deliver workload to deadlines and to a high standard of service delivery.
• Being able to communicate well within a team as well as on your own
• Being familiar with British Design Codes
• Previous consultancy experience would be preferable (ideally minimum of 4 years experience)

Salaries are dependent on experience, however are above market rate with an excellent benefits package.
