We're looking for a confident and capable Senior Structural Engineer to join our growing team in Central London. This is a pivotal role working on a wide spectrum of projects from domestic extensions to multi-million-pound apartment and office developments using the latest design tools and engineering methods.
You'll lead project teams, mentor junior engineers, and oversee the technical delivery of structural designs. With the opportunity to work across a variety of sectors and building types, this role is ideal for a proactive individual ready to step up and make an impact.
Lead the structural design process using cutting-edge software
Manage and delegate work across project teams to ensure timely delivery
Liaise with clients and stakeholders to develop practical and cost-effective solutions
Produce high-quality calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications
Support and develop junior staff, fostering a strong team culture
Oversee budgets, resource allocation, and programme delivery for assigned projects
Promote JMS Engineers services and contribute to business development initiatives
Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Masters preferred)
Chartered status (MIStructE, FIStructE, MICE, or FICE) is highly desirable
Minimum of 4 years of structural engineering experience within the UK
Strong background in project management and cost estimation
Experience with heritage or historic buildings is a distinct advantage
