We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer with particular experience in building structures. The company is a highly respected local practice with a significant market share. The team comprises structural and civil engineers and technicians, and the firm handles a variety of projects ranging from small domestic jobs to multi-million pound mixed-use schemes with a high local profile.

Candidates should have demonstrable experience in designing building structures and engaging with various stakeholders. Other projects include:

• Challenging and bespoke residential projects
• Multi-storey mixed-use developments
• Underground car parks and foundations
• 7-storey luxury flats requiring complex foundation solutions

Successful candidates will work across these core projects, including a 25m waste-to-energy scheme in the Southwest. You will report directly to the company’s director and should possess excellent attention to detail and good time management skills.

• Detailed design and analysis of building structures from various sectors, including historical projects with contemporary elements
• Conducting site visits and supporting site managers with technical issues
• Understanding site issues and devising solutions, especially for sensitive historical structures
• Communicating effectively with contractors, architects, and clients to build lasting relationships
• Focusing on personal development and supporting junior staff
