Equation Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a respected engineering firm seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for their Shrewsbury office. This is a superb opportunity for a motivated professional to step into a diverse, leadership-focused role with real impact.

About the Role
You will be responsible for delivering structural solutions across a varied project portfolio, including residential, healthcare, education, and heritage developments. The role provides full project lifecycle involvement, from design and analysis to client interaction and team leadership.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing multiple engineering projects simultaneously

• Designing in all major materials: steel, concrete, timber, and masonry

• Delivering reports, drawings, specifications, and calculations

• Liaising with clients, contractors, and colleagues to deliver solutions

• Supporting the professional growth of junior engineers and technicians

What We’re Looking For

• Chartered or nearly chartered (ICE or IStructE)

• At least 5 years’ structural engineering experience in a consultancy setting

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Proficient in structural design software (e.g. Revit, AutoCAD, Tekla, TEDDS)

• Confident communicator and team collaborator
