Job summary

Fusion Management is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in Central London. You will be expected to lead own projects, perform conceptual and detailed design across RC, steel, masonry and timber, and conduct site surveys.

Chartered status or 3+ years’ design office experience is required; strong communication and mentoring skills are essential. You will join a busy team with a comprehensive benefits package including medical insurance, income protection, life assurance, paid overtime, 25 days’

Qualifications

• Chartered or nearing Charter with at least 3 years’ design office experience.
• Experience in RC, steel, masonry and timber design.
• Ability to manage projects and communicate clearly.
• Site surveys and construction detail sketches.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage structural design projects from concept to completion.
• Prepare calculations and drawings and coordinate with clients.
• Conduct site inspections to verify design assumptions.
• Mentor junior engineers and review design work.

Structural Project Engineer

Location: Farringdon, Central London

Fusion Management Services are working with a Central London Structural Engineering consultancy, who are looking for a Senior Level Structural Engineer to join their busy team

A typical candidate would be an experienced, clear thinking, confident and self-motivated engineer who is looking to manage their own projects. You will be Chartered, or non-Chartered with at least three years varied design office experience. Ideally you will have most of the following skills:-

• Conceptual design
• Detailed design of reinforced concrete, steelwork, masonry and timber
• Steelwork connection design
• Temporary works design
• Good verbal communication
• Good report and letter writing ability
• Site inspection and surveys
• Sketching of construction details
• Willingness to explore new areas of work
• Ability to make decisions
