Job summary

Pertemps TM in Cardiff is seeking an experienced structural engineer to join an award-winning practice. The role involves designing and detailing structures for projects up to £100m across schools, hospitals, healthcare facilities and local authorities.

Hybrid working and a supportive, interactive culture are highlighted. You will produce detailed calculations, liaise with clients and contractors, attend design team meetings and site visits, and mentor graduates while building lasting client

Qualifications

• Degree educated, BEng or BSc minimum.
• Chartered with ICE or IStructE preferred but not essential.
• Design experience across structural sectors listed.
• Knowledge of Eurocodes.
• Knowledge of BIM.
• Experience with traditional construction materials.

We are looking for an experienced structural engineer with building structures experience for an award-winning practice to work in their Cardiff office. This engineering consultancy typically punches well above its weight with the kind of projects it brings in and has expanded its operation significantly.

Projects come from various sectors and range up to £100m, they include:

• Local schools
• Hospitals
• Healthcare facilities
• Local authorities

As a senior technician, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Producing detailed structural calculations
• Liaising with clients, contractors and Architects
• Building relationships with clients and handling queries
• Attending design team meetings
• Attending site visits
• Mentoring and assisting in the development of Graduate Engineers

Essential criteria for this role:
