This is a unique opportunity to step into a key technical and client-facing role, helping to lead projects from conception to completion while mentoring and developing junior engineers in a collaborative, expert-led environment.

The Role

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will:

Lead the design and technical delivery of a wide range of structural projects in line with client requirements.
Review and oversee designs produced by junior team members, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance.
Serve as a primary client contact, representing the business confidently in meetings and communications.
Work closely with Directors to manage project finances, risk, compliance, and H&S procedures.
Mentor and guide junior staff, contributing to their technical development and project involvement.
Attend and lead internal and external meetings as required.

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who brings:

A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Chartered status (MIStructE or MICE) or actively working towards it.
A strong background in a consultancy environment, ideally with experience in industrial, commercial, or retail sectors.
Proven ability to manage technical work and support project delivery.
Experience working closely with contractors and developers.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills – confident in meetings and able to build lasting relationships.
A collaborative mindset with a passion for mentoring and helping teams thrive.
