Job summary

ALTEN is seeking a Senior Structural Design Engineer to lead a team of engineers and designers on major infrastructure projects. You will provide technical direction, review calculations and reports, and ensure compliance with standards throughout the project lifecycle.

You will collaborate with clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams, drive quality and engineering assurance, and mentor junior engineers while delivering high‑quality structural solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering structural projects in regulated or complex environments.
• Experience leading engineering teams, technical packages or project delivery teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight for structural activities from concept through detailed design.
• Plan and allocate resources across multiple projects and work packages.
• Review and approve structural calculations, reports, drawings and deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with standards, codes and client specifications.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, systems and project management teams.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers; act as technical point of contact for clients.
