Job Description

MoneyGram Haas F1 Team, celebrating its tenth season in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship in 2025, is seeking a Structural Design and Analysis Engineer based in Maranello, Italy. This role involves designing and analyzing F1 chassis components to meet safety, reliability, and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Promote teamwork and effective communication across departments.
2. Conduct structural analysis and optimization of car components, ensuring minimal weight, safety, and stiffness targets.
3. Utilize hand calculations, Finite Element Analysis (linear and non-linear), and software tools.
4. Perform structural optimization, automation, analysis, and correlation of experimental data through scripting and programming.
5. Focus on analyzing composite components such as chassis, gearbox, wings, bodywork, and suspensions.
6. Follow all safety regulations at venues.
7. Perform other duties as assigned by the Deputy Chief Designer & Structure or their designee.

Qualifications

• University degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or related Engineering field; a master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years in professional motorsports.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and fluency in English.
• Expertise in Finite Element methods and their limitations.
• Ability to work under stress and meet tight deadlines.
• Decisiveness and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Teamwork and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude and willingness to assist colleagues.

Work Environment
