Job summary

AALTO, a global leader in Stratospace, is seeking a Senior Stress Engineer in Farnborough to own structural analysis throughout the product lifecycle. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to develop robust solutions, ensure safety and reliability, and support production and field activities.

The role requires deep expertise in aerospace structural stress, FEA, hand calculations, and composites, with a commitment to engineering excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in structural stress analysis within aerospace.
• Strong understanding of aircraft structural design principles and verification.
• Experience performing FEA and hand calculations.
• Working knowledge of composite materials and analysis methodologies.
• Proficiency with industry tools such as ANSYS or Nastran.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural analysis across the aircraft design and development process.
• Conduct material selection and structural concept trade studies.
• Develop and maintain structural design records using historical data and analyses.
• Support production and line maintenance with structural guidance.
• Collaborate with mechanical design engineers on detailed solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams.
• Lead or contribute to design reviews and testing support.
• Investigate and resolve structural repairs and deviations.
