Job summary

Camden Council in London is seeking a Senior Streets Design Engineer to lead/design highway, traffic and public realm schemes. Responsibilities include feasibility through to detailed design, and producing construction drawings and cost estimates.

You'll collaborate with TfL, developers and public authorities, manage budgets and mentor junior staff, aligning with Camden's Transport Strategy and safety goals.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent.
• Chartered status advantageous for the role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver Camden's highway, traffic and public realm schemes.
• Produce and review construction drawings, geometry and drainage designs, cost estimates and contract documents.
• Coordinate with TfL, developers, consultants and other stakeholders.
• Mentor junior colleagues and support apprentices and placements.
