Job summary

Leicestershire County Council is seeking a Senior Street Lighting Technician to join the Structures & Street Lighting Team at Mountsorrel Depot. You will design and calculate street lighting schemes and oversee capital and revenue programmes for local clients.

The role requires on-site inspections, installation coordination, and monitoring of lighting systems, with flexibility for early mornings or evenings when required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in Electrical or related subject.
• Experience in engineering settings including design, management, maintenance or admin processes.

Responsibilities

• Undertake capital and revenue lighting programmes, designs and calculations.
• Carry out on-site inspections and manage installation, maintenance and repair of street lighting and illuminated signs.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure cost-effective lighting solutions across the area.
