VCCP is the Challenger Agency for Challenger Brands. An independent, 1,500-person strong creative company, that exists to transform its clients fortunes by disrupting the categories they operate in. VCCP is fully integrated, with deep capabilities in data and analytics, brand strategy, communications, customer experience, media, production and distribution. The company was founded in 2002 in London, with offices in New York, San Francisco, Singapore, Shanghai, Sydney, Madrid and Prague. Our London office has been shortlisted for Campaign magazine’s Agency of the Year almost every year for the past decade, topping the new business table 9 years out of the last 10.

About the Role:

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Strategist to join our Strategy & Planning team for one of our most creative, ambitious and well known accounts. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping brand and communications strategies that drive real impact for clients. You’ll be a confident, curious thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, creatively-driven environment, and is as comfortable with data as they are with cultural insight.

Responsibilities:

• Lead strategic development on key client accounts, from brief to execution.
• Work collaboratively with creative and account management team to ensure integrated, effective campaigns.
• Turn complex business problems into simple, inspiring briefs that unlock big ideas.
• Use a range of data sources – from cultural trends to behavioural insights – to inform and support strategic thinking.
• Present strategic thinking with clarity, conviction, and enthusiasm – both internally and to clients.
• Help mentor and develop junior planners within the team.
• Contribute to new business pitches and agency thought leadership.

Required Skills:

• A strong strategic mind with the ability to distil complexity into clarity.
• Proven ability to develop and articulate compelling brand, communications, and campaign strategies.
• Comfortable working with quant and qual data, audience segmentation, and research tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade.
• A collaborative, can-do attitude and a passion for creative work.
