Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager to lead the One Lancashire and South Cumbria procurement team. The role focuses on delivering strategy, driving savings, and ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple sites in Lancashire and South Cumbria.

The post requires strong stakeholder engagement, change management, and ability to travel between sites. NHS AfC Band 7 with a fixed full-time schedule and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• GCSE level Grade 4 in Mathematics and English.
• CIPS qualification or substantial experience of working within a procurement environment at a senior level.
• Continued professional development of Procurement and/or Business related courses including Basic Contract law, Public Procurement Regulations, Tendering, & Supplier Management.
• Supervisory/management qualification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the procurement strategy and service objectives, including savings and efficiency targets.
• Ensure compliance with procurement regulations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to present the procurement function as a progressive and responsive team.
• Lead strategic procurement projects delivering value for money and an integrated approach.
• Provide professional advice on procurement processes, including compliance with UK law and regulations.
