Job summary

Lidl is expanding its Store Development Team and seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead construction across multiple regions. You will oversee new stores, extensions and modernisations, coordinating internal teams and external partners to deliver projects on time and within budget.

You will spend 3–4 days per week in the Nottingham Property Office or on site, ensuring site safety, quality and compliance with Lidl’s standards.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in Engineering or Construction.
• Proven Construction/Engineering experience and strong MS Office skills.
• Professional negotiator with commercial judgement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction of new stores, extensions and modernisations.
• Manage project plans and deadlines to keep the programme on track.
• Monitor progress and ensure high quality standards are met.
• Liaise with external companies, contractors and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with our specifications and internal procedures.
• Maintain high Health & Safety standards on all sites.
• Resolve issues quickly to avoid delays and budget overruns.
• Report project progress to the senior team and stakeholders.
• Control budgets and manage project costs.
