Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking a Principal Statistician for early-phase work, fully home-based with remote options across Europe. The role involves leading statistical activities, mentoring biostatisticians, and ensuring high-quality analyses from protocol through CSR.

Strong expertise in biostatistics, R and SAS is required, with experience in regulatory submissions preferred. PhD or MSc in statistics is preferred.

Qualifications

Graduate degree in biostatistics or related discipline.
Extensive experience in clinical trials or leading multiple studies.
Proficiency in R programming.
Experience with regulatory submissions preferred.

Responsibilities

Mentor biostatisticians and develop training plans or materials.
Direct activities of other biostatistics personnel on projects to ensure timely, high-quality work.
Provide support across all statistical tasks from protocol to CSR.
Prepare SAPs and mock-up displays for tables, listings, and figures; collaborate with sponsor as needed.
Lead statistical aspects of protocols, randomization, and input to the clinical study report when required.
Create or review programming specs for analysis datasets, tables, listings, and figures.
Review study documentation to ensure data capture supports the planned analyses and quality standards.
Ensure compliance with SOPs (ICH and regulatory guidelines) and maintain inspection readiness.
