Job summary

ERM is seeking a Principal Consultant to join our Stakeholder Engagement team within Capital Project Delivery. You will lead the design and delivery of engagement programmes for major infrastructure, energy, renewables, transport and development projects.

In this role you will help clients secure social acceptance, build relationships with stakeholders, manage risks, and deliver robust engagement strategies that support planning, consent and project delivery outcomes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering stakeholder engagement programmes for infrastructure, energy, utilities, transportation, development or environmental projects.
• Strong understanding of planning, consenting and EIA processes.
• Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships including local communities and government bodies.

Responsibilities

• Lead stakeholder engagement workstreams on major capital projects.
• Develop and implement stakeholder engagement and consultation strategies.
• Design and facilitate engagement activities such as workshops, public exhibitions and focus groups.
• Advise clients on stakeholder risks, issues and opportunities.
• Prepare stakeholder engagement plans and reporting documentation.
• Translate complex technical information into accessible communications for non-technical audiences.
• Support Social Impact Assessment (SIA) and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) processes.
• Manage stakeholder databases, records and reporting requirements.
