Are you an experienced and passionate Theatre Nurse / Practitioner looking to take your career to the next level? The Main Operating Department at Royal Sussex County Hospital is seeking enthusiastic Band 6 Theatre Nurses / Practitioners (either ODP or RN) within our Trauma, Anaesthetics, Emergency/CEPOD and Vascular teams. Please note as band 6 you will be expected to coordinate CEPOD in and out of hours - after provided training.
Main duties of the jobClinical & Managerial Support: You'll work closely with the Team Leader, providing essential clinical and managerial support to ensure smooth and effective theatre operations.
Leadership & Teaching: As a senior practitioner, you will lead by example, offering clinical leadership, guidance, and teaching to all relevant staff within your specialist area.
Specialist Advice: You'll provide expert technical and clinical advice to colleagues within the peri-operative environment, helping to enhance the quality of care provided.
Coordinate CEPOD in and out of hours.
Patient Support: You'll play a crucial role in supporting and informing patients undergoing anaesthesia and surgery, ensuring their experience is as comfortable and safe as possible.
Quality Care Development: You will assist in the development of safe, high-quality specialist care, adhering to the Trust's Nursing & Midwifery guidelines, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our services.
