An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Band 6 full-time Senior Staff Nurse/ODP within Theatres and Endoscopy at the Belford Hospital.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and forward-thinking nurse/ODP to join our team. You will be committed to the delivery of quality patient care and providing support to patients and staff within all areas of theatre (Anaesthetics, scrub, recovery, and Endoscopy).

You will undertake clinical and managerial duties as workload requires, deputise for the Senior Charge Nurse in their absence, and support and supervise junior staff and students on placement.

Our working hours are Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 17:30, with an additional on-call service providing overnight and weekend emergency cover.

You will need to be able to participate in the on-call rota overnight and at weekends (1 in 4 rota).

Experience in theatre is essential for this post. Previous Band 6 experience is desirable, but applications are also welcome from senior Band 5 nurses/ODPs seeking progression.

Advanced Scrub Practitioner roles, acting as 1 or 2 surgical assistants across operating theatre specialties, are also welcome to apply.
