HCA UK’s Wilmslow Hospital is seeking a Senior Staff Nurse for the Outpatients Department. You will support a range of consultant-led clinics across Women’s Health, Cardiology, Orthopaedics and more, guiding patient journeys in a busy outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration (Adult)
• Outpatients experience within an acute hospital or private setting

• Experience mentoring colleagues and leading when required

Location: The Wilmslow Hospital, Cheshire

Full time: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with one Saturday a month

Shift times: 0730-1530, 1300-2100 or 0730-2100 subject to preference

We're looking for a Senior Staff Nurse to join our Outpatients Department at The Wilmslow Hospital, an Outstanding-rated hospital delivering exceptional patient care across Cheshire. The hospital supports over 10,000 outpatient appointments each year and provides rapid access to diagnostics, specialist consultations and treatment across a wide range of specialties.

As a Senior Staff Nurse in Outpatients, you'll work alongside leading consultants and multidisciplinary teams supporting a diverse patient population across specialist services including Women's Health, Breast Care, Cardiology, Orthopaedics, Urology, ENT, Ophthalmology and Sports & Exercise Medicine.

This is a varied and patient-focused role where you'll provide high-quality clinical care, support the day-to-day operational running of clinics, coordinate patient journeys and act as a role model for junior team members. You'll have the opportunity to work within a modern outpatient environment that combines consultant-led care, advanced diagnostics and a personalised approach to treatment.

What You'll Bring

• Current NMC registration (Adult) with substantial post-registration experience.
• Previous Outpatients experience within an acute hospital or private healthcare setting.
• Experience supporting a range of consultant-led clinics and outpatient procedures.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and a patient-centred approach to care.
• Experience supporting and mentoring colleagues, with the confidence to take clinical leadership when required.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to thrive in a busy multidisciplinary environment.
