We are seeking a Senior Staff Nurse to join our team within the Acute Medicine Unit at Raigmore Hospital.
The Acute Medicine Unit includes an Acute Assessment Unit, Ambulatory Emergency Care, and a Medical High Dependency Unit. The Acute Assessment Unit (Ward GA) admits acutely unwell patients directly from the community and Emergency Department.
This role involves working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will be responsible for leading your team, promoting and providing high-quality care, and fostering a positive ward culture. You will encourage best practices to ensure excellent patient care, supervise both qualified and unqualified staff, and contribute to continuous improvement.
The successful candidate should demonstrate excellent leadership, confident communication, and effective organizational skills. Evidence of personal development and a willingness to contribute to education and quality improvement are essential. You should work well within a diverse multidisciplinary team, uphold strong care values, and possess a good sense of humor. Enthusiasm for working, learning, and developing yourself and colleagues in a high-pressure environment is also important.
