Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Systems Engineer to build and operate services for customers, automate service operations and deployment methods, and mentor junior engineers in a high-availability cloud environment.

You will work on Cryptography, Access and Identity services, apply AI tooling, and drive efficiency through automation across our operations. The role emphasizes ownership and engineering across a broad technology stack.

Qualifications

• Experience in site reliability engineering (SRE), systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration, or network administration.
• Experience working with Linux.
• Experience in systems engineering.
• Experience in any of the following: Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Bash, Shell or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop, build, deploy, operate, sustain and grow services in cloud production environments.
• Lead and mentor junior team members.
• Utilize trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements.
• Develop and refine procedures used by the team and internal customers.
• Automate manual tasks and drive operational efficiency.
