Amazon’s AWS Security Verification & Validation Team seeks a Senior Security Engineer to own complex testing engagements end-to-end, applying human judgment where needed and building automation for repeatable security testing. You will lead penetration testing and AI-augmented source code reviews across multi-service architectures, guiding risk decisions and delivering concrete security outcomes.

You will collaborate with developers and AppSec engineers, mentor engineers, and help shape testing

Qualifikationen

• Experience developing software code in one or more programming languages (Java, Python, etc.).
• Knowledge of security design review, threat modeling, risk analysis, and software testing techniques.
• Experience in risk assessment and enabling organizations to make security decisions.
• Bachelor's degree or above in CS/CE/Cybersecurity or related discipline.
• 5+ years in professional penetration testing or source code auditing, or similar security engagements.

• Own security for a portfolio of testing engagements and lead complex engagements.
• Perform penetration testing and AI-augmented source code review of complex AWS software.
• Translate risk hypotheses into documented conclusions with evidence and outcome.
• Lead engagements with ambiguous scopes and define robust testing approaches.
• Trace attack paths across components and demonstrate cross-service risk.
• Write clear results for non-engineering audiences and drive risk decisions.
