GIPHY is seeking a highly experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our SRE team. You will design, build, operate, and evolve the infrastructure that powers GIPHY, including our cloud environment, Kubernetes clusters, and CI/CD platforms.

You will work with development teams to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency, respond to production incidents, and drive improvements. You will operate and optimize cloud, CDN, and multi-region Kubernetes, while exploring AI-assisted

Competenze

• Expert-level knowledge of IaaS operations and IaC (Terraform, Atlantis).
• Autonomy and initiative to optimize, patch, upgrade, and reduce technical debt.
• Experience with agentic engineering and AI-assisted development.
• Ability to design cost-effective solutions and identify cost-optimization opportunities.
• Proficient in Python, Java, Go or Rust.
• Experience with Jenkins, Github Actions; Helm, Spinnaker, ArgoCD.
• Strong Linux and networking fundamentals for diagnosing issues across OS, network, container, and cloud.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with Datadog and AWS CloudWatch for observability.
• Extensive experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with AWS infrastructure (EKS, S3, EC2, VPC).
