Job summary

Persistent is seeking a Senior SQL Database Administrator in Canary Wharf, London. The role combines project delivery with BAU SQL Server operations in a hybrid work model (2-3 days in office) to support high‑visibility data initiatives.

You will lead SSIS/ETL development, manage AWS RDS SQL Server databases, and handle upgrades and migrations while coordinating across teams to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Senior SQL Server DBA with hands-on SSIS and ETL experience.
• Experience with AWS RDS for SQL Server.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage SQL Server production databases and BAU operations.
• Develop, deploy and maintain SSIS packages and ETL processes.
• Provision and manage AWS RDS SQL Server databases.
• Coordinate upgrades and migrations from SQL Server 2019 to 2022.
• Support on-premises and cloud-based data warehouse environments.
