Job Description:
JSS is pleased to partner with a high-growth, scale-up renewable energy business on a newly created role in their lean finance team.
We are seeking a candidate available in less than 1 month with extensive experience in SPV accounting for this senior role.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the TopCos by managing and supporting the internal accountant, ensuring adherence to reporting deadlines.
- Assist investors with all financial matters, including monthly reporting.
- Oversee the assistant accountant in managing accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely transactions.
- Manage a portfolio of SPVs by supporting outsourced external accountants responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and preparing management and annual accounts.
- Conduct monthly reviews of internal consolidation, analyzing financial data across entities, trends, and insights impacting investor reporting, in coordination with asset management teams.
- Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and external stakeholders.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns for VAT groups.
- Serve as the primary liaison for banking matters.
- Support the deal team during financial due diligence for acquisitions and investments.
- Assist the Finance Director in compliance and reporting for various debt structures, including asset-backed securities, revolving credit facilities, and project finance.
- Develop and monitor internal financial controls for efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management.
- Implement upgrades to financial systems and software as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in a senior financial role.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in financial management software (e.g., Dynamics or similar).
- Experience in Real Assets, Infrastructure, or Renewable Energy sectors.
- Familiarity with debt reporting obligations (e.g., project finance, revolving credit facilities).
