Job summary

HCRG Care Group is seeking an experienced bank Senior Speech and Language Therapist for its children’s services. The role focuses on school-based assessment and diagnosis, with therapy delivered at home, clinic and school. Shifts are self-booked with hybrid working available, and deputising for Band 7 staff is required when needed.

Applicants must hold HCPC registration and RCSLT membership, with a minimum of two years post-qualification experience. Knowledge of ASD strategies is desirable.

Qualifications

• Recognised degree in speech and language therapy or equivalent leading to HCPC registration.
• Post-graduate training evidence (internal or external).

Responsibilities

• Carry out school-based assessments as part of a multidisciplinary team for children and young people.
• Deliver and adapt individual and group therapy across home, clinic and education settings using evidence-based practice.
• Plan, organise and manage therapy services, including supervision, appraisals and training of staff, students and parents/carers.
• Maintain accurate written and electronic records, reports and documentation.
• Prioritise and manage caseload and deputise for Band 7 as required.
